Chief Washunga photograph

American Indian Photo
these are original and dated on the backs July 1, 1869

THIS WEBSITE IS WHERE I GOT MY INFORMATION AND SHOW THE SAME PHOTO

http://www.gchsweb.org/history.htm

Photograph by A. P.Trott, ca. 1860s. Thought to be from the Kaw Tribe which lived along Lyon's Creek.
Chief Washunga of the Kaw Tribe was the last great chief to live in the Junction City area. The Chief Washunga photograph (on display in the Geary County Museum) and the one seen here were taken on Washington Street in Junction City by A.P. Trott, an early photographer, probably in the 1860’s or early 1870’s. An extensive collection of items donated by a society member, is on display at the museum.

German Helmet M18
This M18 helmet is as found, there are a few of the usual paint spatters on the back
of the helmet. There is still the original liner and it has the fixed bail s for the chinstrap.
There is a marking on the inside W66 I think it is the size.
It is very rare to find one of these in unaltered condition.
There is a lot of dust on the helmet, you can be the one to clean it.
The helmet is what I think very reasonably priced. The helmet is complete
but for the chin strap
.
