Rarest of the M1860 Light Cavalry Saber

Without a Doubt, the Rarest of the M1860 Light Cavalry Sabers are those Marked "J. B. A." With the maker remaining unknown there are less than ten specimens extant. Quintessentially a M1860 in virtually every detail, but displaying the block letters "J. B. A." on the reverse ricasso. letters "ASM" on the top of the pommel. Entire sword completely "in the black," untouched. Entire scabbard black and covered with light pitting. Brass hilt hilt about perfect, also deep dark patina. The grip wire is 100% traceses of leather remain. Blade is near excellent, light gray with just some scattered salt and peppering. A completely untouched example of this exceedingly rare Civil War saber.

SS NCO Sword (Degen)

SS Subordinate Ranks' Degen (sword), 1936 Model

DESCRIPTION: The (D) guard is composed of a nickel-plated stamped steel-based metal. The guard ends in a teardrop-like configuration. The upper ferrule is an integral part of the guard. The lower ferrule is a separate fitting being the same as the officer version. The pommel cap is the major distinguishing feature of this NCO design. It has a high-relief set of SS runes that are visually enhanced through the use of a blackening process used throughout the lower background of the cap. The grip is a turned thirteen-rib variety, but with no SS rune decoration. It is made of ebony wood and reflects a black-painted and lacquered finish. Unlike the officer version there is no wire wrap. Like the officer Degen the scabbard is black-painted steel. The scabbard differs from the officer's model in that the lower drag area is built into the steel design. There is no separate drag mount. The blade is the same as that of the officer Degen varying with the height of the wearer. This sword has the Karl Diebitsch logo (the intertwined SS), the Kulturzeichen mentioned in the great book by Thomas Wittman, Exploring the Dress Daggers and Swords of the German SS . This is the classic textbook example of the NCO SS Degen and is in extra-fine condition throughout

A sword favored by the SS

``Prinz Eugen``
Eickhorn pattern

"Prinz Eugen" Model 1765 Field Marshal Series Sword. Original Eickhorn Solingen, stamped squirrel-holding-sword TM.

Everything about this sword is just incredible!
The original gilding (gold finsh)is near 100%
The blade is mint and Eickhorn marked.
This model #1794 Carl Eickhorn sword is not often seen in this condition.
It would be one of the most stand out item in any collection.
From what I have been told this model was used by many of the SS and in Tom Johnsons book #1 page147 he states the SS fact.
The price is governed by the fantastic one in a million condition.

Old Samurai Sword
in resting scabbard
The blade is 25 inches from tip to notch.
It is had for me to show the temper line , I did my best with these photos.
The shape of the blade indicates it was originally made in the 1400`s and

re handled at least 3 times. it has a silver habaki and
it comes with it resting saia or scabbard.
These old blades are getting harder to find now.
The blade shows a very nice temper line and it goes around the tip.

CONFEDERATE SWORD

CONFEDERATE FOOT ARTILLERY SWORD, & SCABBARD

This hefty edged weapon is a Confederate foot artillery short sword that is similar to the Federal Model 1832 U.S. Foot Artilleryman's sword often described as a 'Roman gladiator' sword. The weapon exhibits average workmanship by an unknown maker and is similar in style and appearance to various French import cutlasses and short swords from the early 1830s, namely the Model 1831. Unmarked save for the numeral "8" stamped onto the brass hilt near the blade ricasso and on the scabbard collar , the weapon has neo-classical design features with brass grips and a straight, double-edged steel blade with no fullers. The scabbard is in very fine condition and is marked with the same (8) as on the handle. There is another sword by same maker on the Horse Soldiers we-site, so there is others for sale by this unknown maker, but not very many!.It is without question original and authentic, and is 100% guaranteed to be as stated.

Army Officer’s Pantherhead Sword (Scharnhorst) by Carl Eickhorn

The hilt design is illustrated in the Angolia Sword Book, page 78, lower. It is the Model 1706 or Scharnhorst Model Sword found in the Eickhorn Sales Catalog. For you collectors who love long blades, then this one is for you! This good-looking Pantherhead example is cast of solid-brass with excellent hand enhancing throughout the entire hilt. Gorgeous!
The cat has been fitted with two pink or red faceted eyes. The backstrap contains the cat’s mane flowing into oak leaves and acorns. The “P” guard is also adorned with beautifully executed oak leaves/acorns. The obverse languet portrays a raised-out Wehrmacht Army eagle having the closed style wings with a swastika clutched in the bird’s talons. The detail to the bird is outstanding! The quillon ends if a floral design. The underside of the hilt is stamped D.R.P.
The scabbard is in wonderful condition with only a very small dent and not noticeable. The paint looks original and is about 98%

World War II Italian Fascist falcon head Air Force sword with engraved blade and original scabbard.

SOLD
This truly just out of the woodwork, original vet buy. This sword was brought back in 1945 from Naples Italy by the GI I got it from.
The sword has a beautiful full engraved blade and I would call the handle close to mint only 25% of gilding is gone, handle is in very fine condition all wires are there without any brakes.
The original scabbard is just wonderful, it is complete but is missing about 75% of the leather covering.
I would rate the engraved blade as fine, without pitting or rust.
